Halliburton Company is an American multinational corporation and the world’s second largest oil service company and responsible for most of the world’s largest fracking operations. The company helps customers maximize value throughout the lifecycle of the reservoir – from locating hydrocarbons and managing geological data, to drilling and formation evaluation, well construction and completion, and optimizing production throughout the life of the asset.
Kratos is a defense and communications technology company at the forefront of addressing the United States and its allies’ National Security priorities in multiple areas. For any new releases, the regression time to test the build could take about 6 weeks using multiple engineers.
Hence, Kratos sought to streamline and automate its test and delivery processes to assure quality and customer satisfaction. The development team decided to implement Continuous testing but their internal team had no expertise about this approach
AGEST provided on-site expertise and worked with the client’s developers to achieve integration testing with Kratos complex systems and configurations. Moreover, the automated testing tool of AGEST was a splendid match with the client’s continuous testing requirements, as it can handle multiple configurations and complex testing environments
The project was then divided into two phases:
1. To build up enough test cases to implement automated scripts into TestArchitect and integrate it with Jenkins
2. To design, develop and deploy Jenkins pipelines in the test environments
AGEST helped Kratos evolve its delivery process concept for both automation testing and efficient workflow for Continuous Testing. Besides, AGEST also created new test scripts from the existing manual test cases and extend more new test cases for automated testing
The implemented test cases were then called in Kratos’s Jenkins pipeline verified as a pass, which demonstrated the continuous testing practice was a success
